Padel lesson packages: how to stop counting them by hand
I sell packages of ten lessons and track them in a spreadsheet. Students ask how many they have left and I never know without opening it. Is there a simpler way?
The spreadsheet is not the problem; opening it is. A package only needs four facts: how many lessons it holds, how many are used, when it expires, and whether it is paid. If those four facts sit under every lesson in the student's own view, the question "how many do I have left" stops arriving.
Rules that make packages count themselves:
- One line, everywhere: "6 of 10 left, 23 days". The student sees it when they book, you see it when you look at your day.
- Validity that means something: 30, 60 or 90 days from the first lesson. Fourteen days and three days before it runs out, the student hears about it. That reminder is also the rebooking nudge, so nobody has to write "shall we continue?".
- Late cancellations count. Your cutoff, one free pass per package, then a missed lesson is a used lesson. The package line changes by itself and the student saw the rule when they booked.
- Paid is one tap. A PromptPay QR with the amount, or your own QR or payment link, appears when a package starts or renews. You tap "paid" when the money arrives; the tool never touches it.
- The old sheet is a starting point, not a chore. Paste it once; names and counts become packages you confirm with one tap.
